(Re)Training OTTBs: Finding Successful Second Careers for Off-The-Track Thoroughbreds

This week, we sit down with Tori Kager who has a long history working with off-the-track thoroughbreds (OTTB's) and helping them learn to have successful second careers. Tori's horses all have had their own unique set of behavioral issues, cognitive issues and catastrophic injuries BUT despite all of those hurdles, Tori was able to work with each of these horses to rise up the levels in eventing and dressage.

Listen in as we talk through Tori's journey, from producing these horses herself, winning her USDF Silver Medal in dressage, proactive management of ulcers, hoof care for high-low feet, dealing with kissing spine and residual body soreness from their previous careers, as well as corrective exercises and therapies that have helped keep her horses comfortable and sound along the way!
