This week, we sit down with Dr. Chuck Arensberg VMD who is an equine sports medicine specialist to talk about the science and strategy of keeping elite equine athletes sound through their careers at the highest levels of their respective sports and beyond.

 

Dr. Chuck is passionate about maximizing, optimizing & maintaining the full sporting potential of our equine athletes. After 20 years in the equine veterinary industry, Dr. Chuck started a new venture in 2023 to expand his ongoing work in equine sports medicine. His practice, Bessemer Equine, specializes in advanced diagnostics, regenerative therapies and pre-purchase examinations in its' complete care of equine athletes. He treats horses in all competitive equine sports including, eventing, racing, dressage and jumping and regularly serves as an FEI official veterinary delegate.
