I have faced this time and time again, as I tried to move up the levels. I wanted it so badly, and worked so hard, yet:

- I felt trapped in my own body, and knew that my physical limitations were holding me back
- I watched my horse feel sore and anxious at competitions
… and time after time, no matter what I did, we did badly at every show.
Then, I learned how to prepare and condition top level equine athletes as an FEI groom. Later, I discovered the power of massage and stretching for both me and my horse when I became a licensed massage therapist. Soon, my horse and I did a full 180 and quickly moved up the levels of dressage. I was able to earn my bronze medal within a year, something I never dreamed possible.
